Divorce proceedings have just been kicked into high gear between Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons. The couple split in 2005 but they have just recently officially filed.
According to their legal papers, the couple is splitting due to "irreconcilable differences."
This Tuesday, Simmons filed a response to his former wife's divorce petition in a Los Angeles court.
Simmons is seeking for joint physical and legal custody of his daughters with Kimora. The girls are 8 and 5.
But, in Kimora's divorce filings this March, she requested that Russell get only "reasonable child visitation" and is "to be accompanied at all times by the children's nanny and security personnel." [PerezHilton]
