Tori Spelling wants her fans to know that she's out of the closet: She's a gay icon, she's here, so get used to it. Particularly if you're a fan of her reality show, Tori & Dean:
"I'm a huge fan of gays. They love me; I love them. They consider me kind of a gay icon, which they've labeled me as," reports Reuters.
She also believes her role in the romantic comedy Kiss the Bride, opening Friday, will help keep this love alive.
In fact, Spelling, 34, who delivered a memorable turn as the self-obsessed actress in 1999's gay-themed movie Trick, says that when it came to being sold on Kiss the Bride, its community appeal "was probably one of the top things that made me want to do the movie."
In it, she plays Alex, the bride-to-be of Ryan (Jack O'Shea), whose first boyfriend – in high school – was Matt (Phillipp Karner). Fade to 10 years later, when Matt learns of Ryan's upcoming wedding. He shows up to convince his ex not to join the other team. [People]
