Mystery Science Theater 3000, the show that I didn't really understand but I still watched anyways way back when it was on (I was little, I had an excuse), is coming back for much needed mock-sessions aimed at our pop culture. What a better time to make a comeback, with the blogosphere's snarky and tongue-in-cheek level at an all time high and the caliber of our mainstream films at an all time low!
Joel Hodgson, creator, writer, and original host of Mystery Science Theater 3000, is working on a new movie-mocking project called Cinematic Titanic, featuring cast members from MST3K. There's already an official site with more details, but if you're the impatient sort, you can get a similar fix via Rifftrax, where Mike Nelson, another MST3K head writer and onetime host, sells downloads of color commentary on recent heinous titles such as Battlefield Earth and Crossroads.
